Babies are coming!

Greetings farm enthusiasts! This is our first entry into our new site and blog! Norris farms is a 4th generation farm, operated by "grandpa", a merry band of 3 "brothers", the "pig midwife", and and our teenage children serving as our 5th generation. We are a full service farm, from conception to consumption! We currently serve families in Northeast Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. We hope this new website venture will take us into this new and incredibly technical world of on-line pig farming!

It is a a bright new year and Christmas will arrive a bit late for Norris farms! We are expecting our first litters any moment! #posthaste #excited Joshua (the oldest brother) says! The bulk of our litters will be here the beginning of February.

Here's the rundown of our mommas:

The twins "Myrcella" and "Cersei" - York gilts

"Black Chyna" - Spot gilt

"Whitey" - Chester white sow

"Ginger" - Hereford sow

"Arya" - Chester white gilt

"Petunia" - Berk sow

"Miss Piggy" - Berk sow

"Daenerys" aka "Dani" - Duroc gilt

Additionally, we have:

"Duchess" - York sow

"Paulina" aka "Polly" - Poland gilt

"Mimi" - Cross (Hereford/Hampshire) to be bred in March

From these litters we will pick our 4-H show pigs. This year we will have at least five teenagers (hopefully 6-7) showing our pigs, across three counties in Northeastern Indiana! We are excited to get our name and brand out to up and coming 4-H members as well as local pig consumers! *If you are in NEED of 4-H show pigs, please contact us ASAP!
